Kept Recipes turns a screenshot, a PDF, a pasted block of text, or a recipe link into a clean cookbook page, and saves it as a markdown file in your own iCloud Drive. If something isn’t working, email app@baselinemakes.com — a real person reads it.
Three ways in. Share a screenshot, photo, PDF or link to Kept Recipes from the share sheet in any app. Or open the app and use Add to paste text or pick a photo. Instagram and TikTok links work when the recipe is written in the caption — if it’s only spoken in the video, there’s no text to read and the import will tell you so.
Everything is editable: open the recipe and tap Edit to fix ingredients, steps, servings or the source link. If an import went badly wrong, deleting and re-importing is often quicker — parsing isn’t identical every time. Settings lets you switch between the cloud parser and Apple’s on-device model, which sometimes read a tricky source differently.
In your iCloud Drive, as plain markdown files you can open in the Files app right now. They sync between your devices through iCloud, not through us. If recipes aren’t appearing on a second device, check that iCloud Drive is switched on for Kept Recipes in iOS Settings and that the device has finished syncing.
The on-device parser needs an Apple Intelligence–capable iPhone with the feature switched on. If the model is still downloading, the app will say so — charging on Wi-Fi speeds that up. The cloud parser is the default and doesn’t need any of this.
Sign-in is Sign in with Apple, and works with any Apple ID. Settings has a Delete Account button: it removes your account and signs you out everywhere, and leaves every recipe untouched, because they are files in your iCloud Drive and were never ours to delete.
What we store and why is written out in full in the privacy policy.
Email app@baselinemakes.com with your device model, your iOS version, and the recipe or link that gave you trouble. That is usually enough to reproduce it.
